Edelphant

Edelphant
In Eastern culture, the elephant is a noble, purifying and sacred animal. I worked as a sort of Zen Buddhist monk to create Edelphant, covering it, piece by piece, in 13,300 rhinestones, and with its playful wink at Damien Hirst, the piece gets a boost of spiritual energy, so it ended up like a sort of relic. The antlers provide a contrast, adding a sense of mystery and tension to the piece. Together, the noble gemstones and noble deer antlers make Edelphant a noble animal, one created using Eastern methods, that deserves to be protected.
