The Eleg(ph)ant Cage

Prisoner, captive and clandestine being. With no home, just a cage sewn on the body like a tailored elegant suit. The artwork aims to play with the concept of the adjective “elegant”, as the mask that covers the cruel hunting of the blind tailor, who cuts and sews the perfect suit. Cuts and sews. Cuts the relationship that naturally links the elephant with his habitat. And sews a skin-tight cage that leaves no way out. The most elegant way to be a hunter. The net is made of a special light-sensitive painting that in the darkness of night will brighten, while the elephant body will disappear, extinguished. The animal will disappear, the shining elegant cage will last in the darkness of the mind, will blind us with its bright attractive amusing effect, will delete any memory.
