In collaboration with Mongkol Ueareeporn, the elephant is painted with the Thai ancient technique of “Lai Rod Nam”’. This very important technique among the Thai applied arts is a design of pure gold leaf applied over black lacquer. The scenes are taken from Ramakian story. Rama, the hero vanquishes the evil power of the demon.
