Elephant Parade: Welcome to America
Presented by The Resorts of Dana Point, Elephant Parade: Welcome to America will showcase dozens of colorfully decorated life-sized baby elephant sculptures for the first time ever in the US. The star-studded cast of celebrity and artists – from Hollywood elite to fashion designers and pop icons – are welcoming the open-air exhibition in Dana Point.
The parade will kick-off at with a free public opening ceremony August 23-25 at Doheny State Beach. Then, all of the artworks are placed around the destination for ten weeks. The elephants will be primarily placed in high-pedestrian-traffic, visitor-focused locations around Dana Point, including Dana Point Harbor, local beaches, public parks, and in Resort properties.
Halfway between Los Angeles and Orange County, the coastal community is committed to cause and welcomes Elephant Parade with a beautiful backdrop along the Pacific Ocean to showcase this artistic spectacle of culture and creativity. As an oceanfront destination dedicated to the preservation of the planet’s creatures, Dana Point thinks beyond the boundaries of land and sea to raise awareness for the crusade of conservation across the globe.

Held at Lantern Bay Park, this free public event brings the collective herd gets back together one last time.
PUBLIC VIEWING DAYS — Saturday 11/9 through Thursday 11/14
Over 3 dozen life-size baby elephants are on display as the artworks are available to see anytime during the day throughout the eight-day public viewing.
COMMUNITY GOODBYE — Friday 11/15 (12-6p)
The host city will come together as local residents and community members— led by City Councilmembers and local leaders — say goodbye to the pretty pachyderms.
FINAL FAREWELL — Saturday 11/16 (10a-6p)
Celebrate with steadfast supporters with live music, artist interviews, exclusive merchandise sales and creative workshops throughout the day.

Experience a unique charity auction in an exceptional ambience and with special guests and Indian-inspired fare. Select elephants from the herd will be auctioned to raise money for The Asian Elephant Foundation and their efforts supporting various projects across Asia.
Enjoy the phenomenal ocean view and champagne during a ‘Goodbye to the Elephants’. The last time all the statues are together before they are escorted to their new homes. Follow the elephant trail inside to the ‘Indian Mela’ where the acclaimed chefs will surprise you with the very finest Asian-fusion delicacies, and our celebrity hosts educate the audience on the dramatic plight of the Asian elephant.
