Elephant Parade Emmen is Officially Opened!

On May 13th, 2010, Elephant Parade Dierenpark Emmen 2010 was officially opened by Dutch journalist Jacques d'Ancona, who also painted one of the statues in this Parade. Jacques was assisted by founders Marc and Mike Spits, the Mayor of Emmen and managing director of the Zoo, Hans Bosma. The ceremony attracted a large crowd, who admired the 75 full size and 75 half size art elephants placed in and around the Zoo.
