ช้าง คือสัญลักษณ์ที่เปี่ยมไปด้วยพลัง ความสง่างาม และความเชื่อมโยงทางวัฒนธรมและจิตวิญญาณของมนุษย์กับ ธรรมชาติ ข้างไม่ได้เป็นเพียงแต่สัตว์ป่า แต่คือสัญลักษณ์ของการดํารงอยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาติ มักถูกมองว่าเป็นสัตว์ที่มี ความคิดลึกซึ้ง สุขุม แข็งแรง เมตตาไว้ในตัวเดียวกัน และมีความรู้สึกใกล้เคียงกับมนุษย์ จึงมักเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้ ศิลปินใช้สื่อถึง "ความคิด" ที่เคลื่อนไหวอย่างมีความหมาย
