"My inspiration comes from a string of various significant roles and symbols of elephants depicted in the Hindu, Buddhist and Jain mythologies. However, a matter of fact is that 50 % of the Asian elephants live in India and they are exposed to a rapid rate of extinction due to anti-nature activities of humans such as deforestation and poaching. This very existing tension of conflict between their profound reverence in our Indian myths and the actual current reality of such species lends me the intensity to encapsulate it through my artistry."
