"‘Elephants are CUTE.’ This is a very simple message behind my work. Beautiful colors, interesting patterns; the purpose is to attract people to love elephants. I drew more than 30 patterns onto the elephant’s body, including plants, animals, mechanical accessories and industrial parts, even the tools human use to kill elephants and to obtain their ivories. These patterns show the creation of nature, also reflect human’s immoral actions. The purpose is to get closer to elephants’ point of view rather than human’s, to show the elephant’s habitat. While showing how cute the elephants are, also providing an unique angle to trigger audience’s thinking."
