My elephant, Mrs. Bennet, is inspired by my mothers country (Holland) and my love of tulips - pink ones in particular. I am also a great Jane Austen fan. I have painted the tulip on top of her head upside down to make it look a bit like a bonnet. I am very happy to be part of Elephant Parade as it is a brilliant cause and a happy and positive way to raise awareness of this very serious subject; saving Asian elephants.
