September 2024 marked a ten-year milestone of Royal support from Their Majesties The King and Queen of the United Kingdom as Joint Presidents of Elephant Family. To celebrate, Elephant Family launched a social media campaign that reached over a million people, spotlighting their conservation efforts and the essential role of public support.
The Great Elephant Migration is a captivating project by Elephant Family that brings life-sized elephant sculptures, crafted from the invasive plant Lantana camara, to audiences in the UK and the USA. These sculptures not only raise awareness but also fund elephant habitat preservation efforts across Asia.
In Myanmar, Elephant Family has reduced human-elephant conflict by 50%, allowing safe migration for elephants through populated areas. They’re also preserving the forests of India’s Western Ghats by working with local communities, who have reduced firewood use by 71%, protecting habitats for elephants and other wildlife. In Assam, insulation projects on power lines have reduced deaths among endangered golden langurs, showcasing Elephant Family’s commitment to a diverse range of species.
