"Thailand’s national animal is the elephant. The elephant embodies all the qualities that Thai people have – Gentle, Strong, Adaptable and Tenacious. Having adopted Thailand as home for 30 years not a day goes by where I am constantly amazed by the stunning everyday scenes that surround me. My elephant ‘Lek Chang’ depicts what I’ve seen over the last thirty years from the corals of the Andaman Sea, to the bustling cities of Bangkok to the mountains and temples of the north. "สัตว์ประจำชาติของประเทศไทยคือช้าง ช้างเป็นตัวแทนถึงคุณลักษณะอันดีงามของคนไทยเช่น อ่อนโยน เข้มแข็ง ปรับตัวเก่งและหวงแหนความเป็นไทย หลังอาศัยอยู่ในเมืองไทยจนเป็นเหมือนบ้านมานานกว่า 30 ปี ไม่มีวันไหนที่ฉันจะไม่รู้สึกประหลาดใจกับสิ่งรอบๆ ตัวในชีวิตประจำวัน ช้างของฉัน 'คุณเล็ก' แสดงให้เห็นถึงสิ่งที่ฉันเคยพบเห็นในช่วงสามสิบปีที่ผ่านมา ตั้งแต่ปะการังในทะเลอันดามัน กรุงเทพฯ ที่แสนจะวุ่นวาย ภูเขาน้อยใหญ่ ไปจนถึงวัดในภาคเหนือ
