Elephant Parade Map Series –
When Places Inspire Art

As the holiday season begins, we’re reflecting on the special designs that connect art, memory, and place. One of the most meaningful examples of this is our Map Series - a collection of elephant figurines inspired by the cities and regions that have hosted Elephant Parade exhibitions.

These elephants go beyond decoration. They tell stories of streets walked, landmarks celebrated, and the cultures that welcomed us. Each design in the Map Series is an artistic interpretation of a location - turning geography into a visual tribute.

Past Map-Inspired Designs

Over the years, several memorable designs have been created as part of this series:

Mappa Milano – A Love Letter to Milan
Designed for Elephant Parade Milano in 2011, this elephant features an artistic rendering of Milan’s city map, using soft, vintage tones to celebrate the Italian design capital. It captures the elegance and vibrancy of Milan in a timeless way.
Available while stock lasts.

Old Map of London – Timeless and Historic
Created for the 2010 London Parade, this design pays homage to the city’s rich history through classic cartographic styling. The result is a beautiful blend of British heritage and modern elephant art.
Available while stock lasts.

Other locations that have inspired map-themed designs include Wildlands, Alkmaar, and other unique parade destinations - each interpreted through the eyes of the artists who brought them to life.

A Celebration of Place and Purpose

The Map Series captures something uniquely powerful: the way art can document a journey, represent a city, and become a lasting symbol of shared experience.
They are part of what makes the Elephant Parade collection so rich in storytelling and artistic diversity. They’re reminders of where we’ve been—and how every location leaves a mark on our mission.
As you explore holiday gifts or meaningful collectibles this season, take a moment to appreciate the creative ways art, elephants, and geography come together.
