"I took a monochromatic approach to my elephant sing calking material pressed from a tube to make a repetitive pattern of 3-D 'candy kisses' like application. Twenty-seven tubes of calking material were used to totally cover the elephant. The effort created another outline to the predefined, smooth line of the sculpture, giving it a spikey, hair-like look that harkened back to pink music days of the 1980s - hence its name, its Punkaphant."
